Capturing Dreams, Crafting Memories

My Personal Journey

I'm proud to be a part of the handmade movement, a quiet but strong community of enthusiastic crafters. I'm passionate about giving my time and creativity to others and I'm dedicated to creating products designed with care and attention to the smallest of details.

I have tremendous satisfaction knowing that my art is hanging in hundreds of homes for perpetual enjoyment.

Crafting with my hands and imagination creates a special connection, one that allows me to be part of someone else's life and adding a thoughtful and personal touch.

No two dreamcatchers are ever the same. With each idea they become more personalized and intimate.

The process of making something with my own hands is therapeutic. Dreams, hopes, and fears pass through my fingers, creating a unique product that could only have come from personal experiences and preferences.

I attended a workshop to learn this craft...but it was less than effective, so I researched and self-trained myself to weave dreamcatchers. I was hooked!

What really appeals to me is that I am not bound to any pattern. My own imagination is the only limit. Every design is a surprise to me as it comes to life in my hands.

I enjoy the treasure hunt for leather, feathers, beads, baubles, charms and yarns, both manufactured and hand-spun, and have acquired a great collection with which to create.

I developed a 'wedding dreamcatcher' where two feathered fronds are joined together onto the custom dreamcatcher hoop during the ceremony...and two new fronds are added each anniversary. The meaning and shape of the dreamcatcher fits beautifully into the celebration. I also create mini dreamcatchers for tokens to remember the event.

I can put a dreamcatcher into a lamp shade skeleton, an old window frames, a bracelet...anywhere. I even put two little dreamcatchers into an old pair of eyeglasses. No custom request denied!

I have found most people have some connection to the dreamcatcher...some interesting story to tell about their connection to them. I always tell people to shop for a few minutes, the one I made just for them is there waiting for them to discover it.

This craft is never boring and always rewarding. So I'll keep thrifting, creating and dreaming!

Sweet Dreams!
